Build on HIP-4.
Prediction market infrastructure on Hyperliquid.Data, APIs, and the tools to ship faster.
What builders get
Historical data archive
Expired HIP-4 markets are purged from the API. We archive everything — prices, orderbooks, trades, settlements. The only complete HIP-4 dataset.
Real-time WebSocket feeds
Live price streams, orderbook updates, and trade feeds for all HIP-4 markets. Battle-tested infrastructure already powering Purrdict's frontend.
Market parsing library
Open-source TypeScript library for parsing HIP-4 market descriptions, recurring market metadata, coin naming conventions, and tick size calculation.
Technical documentation
Complete API reference, signing guides, order placement examples, and settlement flow documentation. Everything we learned building the first HIP-4 frontend.
What you can build
Custom frontends
Build your own prediction market UI with custom theming, specialized market views, or vertical-specific experiences (sports, politics, crypto).
Trading bots
Automated market making, arbitrage between prediction markets and perps, or signal-based trading strategies on HIP-4 markets.
Analytics dashboards
Market analytics, probability trackers, portfolio performance, historical accuracy scoring, and settlement analysis tools.
Data products
Prediction market data feeds, sentiment indices, or probability APIs that other applications can consume.

Builder FAQ
- What is HIP-4?
- HIP-4 is Hyperliquid's protocol for native prediction markets. It runs on the same engine that handles $200B+/month in perp volume — sub-second fills, shared margin, fully on-chain. Learn more in our glossary.
- Is this free?
- The builder program is free during the testnet phase. We're exploring sustainable models for mainnet — likely a generous free tier with paid plans for high-volume data access.
- Do I need permission to build on HIP-4?
- No. HIP-4 markets are permissionless to trade via the Hyperliquid API. The builder program gives you a head start with data, parsing libraries, and support — but you can start building today.
- Why can't I just use the Hyperliquid API directly?
- You can. But expired recurring markets are permanently deleted from the API. We archive all historical data, provide TypeScript libraries for HIP-4's complex coin naming/signing conventions, and share what we've learned building the first production HIP-4 frontend.
